Tour Details

Ausangate Trek to Rainbow Mountain is one of the rewarding experiences in Peru. It takes you right amidst the less trodden path up in the Andes. “Apu” Ausangate is one of the sacred peaks in Cusco. Towering 6,372 metres high, this snow capped peak dominates the southern skyline of Cusco city.

This high altitude trek takes you through some remote glaciers and lagoons. Most passes range from 4700 metres to 5200 metres above sea level. Hence it is important to spend at-least three days in Cusco acclimatising.

The trek takes you through some sites those only a handful can admire. What’s more? You also get a chance to meet and see the lifestyle of people living in remote Andean communities.

Join us on this adventure of a lifetime in stepping into an untouched wilderness high up in the Peruvian Andes.

The highest point of the trek is at 5,030 m | 16,480 ft. Please spend atleast 3 days in Cusco to acclimatise well before the trek to avoid altitude sickness
